Gaspar J. Lafata, vice-president/clerk of the Gloucester CDC

Mr. Lafata is a former Gloucester City Councilor. He has been largely responsible for the successful completion a number of civic projects. The most notable among these projects are:

the creation of the Band Stand on Stage Fort Park

a yearlong series of events celebrating Gloucester 375th Anniversary

the Cenotaph on Stacey Boulevard to the 10,000 Gloucester fishermen lost at sea ever since 1623

He organized and chaired the appropriate committees to achieve these results.

He also was member and chairman of the St. Peter's Fiesta Committee for thirty years. He is an ex officio member of this committee.

He is a real estate developer both in Gloucester and in Florida.
